Annunciato da poco tempo (qui la press release) ecco la soluzione di SiS per un sistema Dual Channel Rambus. Anche Intel sta seguendo questa strada con il chipset Granite Bay per memorie DDR, come farà anche il chipset Nvidia Nforce2 già in produzione.
SiS però punta sulle memorie RDRAM, assai performanti ma costose e poco diffuse, posizionandosi virtualmente come leader nelle performance per piattaforme P4.
Ecco le specifiche tecniche implementate nel chipset qui sotto mostrato:

- Support up to 64 Direst RDRAM devices
- Suspend-to-RAM(STR)

Support AGP 8X Interface
- Support AGP 8X/4X Interface
- AGP V3.0/AGP V2.0 Compliant
- Support Fast Write Transaction

MuTIOL® Delivering 1GB/s Bandwidth
- Proprietary Interconnect between SiS R658 and SiS963
- Bi-Directional 16-bit Data Bus at 533MHz Operating Frequency

Questo north bridge sarà associato al già diffuso south bridge 963, realizzando una interconnessione di questo tipo:
