As a result, Gigabyte is too early to claim their current products to support Intel’s upcoming processors. Moreover, there is no need in such support now, since CPUs with 667MHz Quad Pumped bus will appear in the second half of 2003. All in all, Gigabyte only guarantees that their mainboards will allow the CPUs to be overclocked up to 166MHz for the FSB. I wonder if the mentioned core-logic have appropriate FSB:AGP and PCI dividers. If they do not – prepare to have some problems with graphics and sound cards (fortunately, Intel's core logic allow to clock AGP and PCI busses independently, but I have no idea about SiS' ones). I also want to point out that PC2700 memory, offered by i845GE/i845GE/SiS648 is not enough to provide needed bandwidth to the Pentium 4 “Prescott” processors that can consume up to 5.4GB/s at 667MHz processor bus.
